Alfa Romeo

  Finding and buying

After the decision was made, it took several months, in the Alfa Romeo fraternity in Norway before I found a project that suited my wallet without being too rusted.  Instead it was a GTV that had barrel-rolled and lost its engine.  The price was manageable though. And the rest of the costs and work could be spread over a period of time.  Two and a half years it would show.
The project looked a bit heavy when I started, and friends and family was shocked about the status of the car.  But to me this was the only way to manage the financial burden of getting myself a sports car, and it went quite well.

Take a look at the state of the classic Italian lady when she arrived in my care:

And then how she looked after a bit of polishing:

The entire process of reconstructing this car will be shown here in the time to come.  At the time being I'm concentrating on describing the project that came after the Alfa: The Marcos
